Design: Blade is made from tungsten carbide which is one of the hardest metal. It doesn’t wear and dull like steel does and can be used without sharpening for a long time. It is sharpened to an angle so it cuts through clay like butter. This tool shape is good for precised trimming of small pots and removing clay from inside of foot.
Caution: Blade is made from material which is very hard and durable, so it stays sharp for a long time, you can not bend it in the fingers. But because of this it is brittle and in case it fell on the floor it can shatter like porcelain. Please be careful while using it and always watch it so it doesn’t roll of the table by accident also don’t bump against steel or other tools. Don’t soak it in water, after using quickly wash it and wipe to dry. Store in the box provided by me or keep it in one lined with foam.
Sharpening: Tools is extremely sharp and durable, but after months of regular use it can slightly dull. To maintain it’s high trimming performance if needed use fine (400 grid or finer ) diamond file or if you don’t have one simply good sandpaper. File inner part as outer is beveled and doesn’t need sharpening.
